Title: I cant read the names of the ships

Would someone be so kind as to decipher the name of the ship on which this letter was instructed to be shipped to New York.
See scan top left. "Per..........."

Also a second one which I think reads "Iphigenie" going to Bordeaux in 1838 8)

Avoretta?  Searching Google brings up a couple of references, 1858 + 1862, 1863, 1864, which seem in the ballpark......

I will settle on Brig "Avosetta" which plied its trade from venezuela to NY in the 1860s no doubt calling at Veracruz :) .
