Dear collectors of Classic Mexico clients and friends.
My kidney stone operation on Wednesday last week went without a hitch and I now have a stent by my 1cm kidney stone which is impacted in the side-wall of my ureter.
In 5 weeks they will remove the stent and laser the stone. Case closed (hopefully).

Because of the coronavirus worldwide, mail has slowed down but fortunately is all eventually getting to its destinations.
I urge you to send me any Mexico Classics you would like me to sell for you by airmail.
Travel for me is impossible and auctions are few and far between.
Email me at this address if you have something for me.

Dear collectors of Classic Mexico clients and friends.
I have been having listing problems since TURBO LISTER ceased to function last week!!!!!!!!!!! (I had been using it for 22 years on a weekly basis).
My friend Bubba has been a great help with this but I have made 1 great error.
The auction which was to have closed on Sunday 2nd August will now close on Tuesday 28th July and all at the same time of 0824 PDT being unscheduled!!!.Snipe bids are a “good idea” in this situation.
That is a further 37 lots.
It could not have happened at a worse time as I shall be in hospital that day for a 1 day kidney-stone operation.  I shall be home late afternoon I hope and expect  to do the invoicing on the morning of the 29th so please be patient if you are a buyer that day.
I am also hoping my 2nd August auction will go ahead as usual with a scheduled listing.

As I say above a further 37 lots will all close together on Tuesday 28th July morning PDT at 0824 hours
I shall hold the mailing from Sunday 26th July auction to include any items bought  on Tuesday 28th July.
THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!!

Spuff,
The 1856 red 4r reprints were printed from 4r plate II.  There are complete sheets known of this plate of Scott #9, they have no plate line and less space between horizontal rows than plate I.  In the Expert Committee reference collection I see many of the 4r 1856 reprints have plate positions identified so someone in the past (perhaps Bash) went to the trouble of identifying these positions on the 1856 reprints.  Attached is an example.  I have not seen such scratches on reprints before and don't think the scratches are what identifies these as positions 11-12.  I'm not sure these are scratches, perhaps smears.

Best  regards and stay safe,

Hi everybody
just doing a clear-out
2 items
1. a medio with late date cancel of March 1861. and a frameline so no problems with genuineness. No district name and can anyone name the district and  cancel please?

2, A pair of 1856 4r reprints. Where can I find details of reprints. these 2 have plate scratches and are marked on the back "11/12" which I presume is the position in the plate. Where can I find such information to check if this is true.?
Keep safe, Stay indoors and do your stamps!!!!!!!!!!
