I just discovered that a PDF of this book is available on the web site for the government of Baja California Sur, and can be downloaded from:

http://www.bcs.gob.mx/archivohistorico/correo/correo.pdf

File size is 44 MB, so it will take a few minutes if you don't have high speed internet.

There is also a copy on sale on eBay for $14.99 or best offer, plus $6.20 shipping for those who would prefer a paper copy.

I just bought a book (in Spanish) I was not aware. It sound VERY interesting

It is a History of the Mail in the Southern District of Baja California (1828-1914). Unfortunately it is only in Spanish, but if any of you are interested contact Juan Cabuto at jjcabuto@prodigy.net.mx for more information.
