Peter-This is not a fake. In my study of the O6 stamp(issue 1894) has revealed several known perforation varieties: 5 1/2, 5 1/2 imperf. between stamps, perforations 11, 12, 5 1/2 by11, and as in your case a 5 1/2 by 11 compound perforation. RRGRACE

Hi Peter,

I'm definitely no expert on perforations, but it looks like the bottom left half is perf. 5 1/2 or something. So, tampering appears to be very possible.

The real reason I try to answer your post is because I'd like to know if we should create a board for official stamps. We can make boards for anything we like, but officials and possibly others were omitted originally.

Please add requests for new boards on the General Discussion board. That'll make them easier to find.
Please let me know if you can't read this.

Hi everybody,
in an old stockbook I found this Hidalgo profile O6C  stamp. Is this a fake with manipulated perfs or could it be one with  compund 11 x 5 1/2 perfs which is mentionned in Nicks book as reported  (but not priced)?
Have a nice time
Peter
