Not really, I have sold them in the past for around $10 - $15; their cat value in the EPS listings is of $2 - $3 for the unused (1970 valuation).

Thanks Fernando.
I often wondered what a "FORMULA CARD" was and now I know.
Not worth much then unused?

Hi Spuff:

These are FORMULA CARDS issued by the Mexican PO in 1879, preceeding the issuance of regular postcards by three years. You can find them listed in the Postal Stationery Catalogue (EPS issued between 1965-1976, before changing name to MEPSI).
They were issued in two varieties with a bunch of different colors and combinations between the color of the card and the color of the printing.
They are rather scarce in genuine used condition; there is going to be one in my next auction which will take place in Guadalajara next Saturday October 24.
Regards,

Fernando Perez-Maldonado.

UPU postcards

To all postal stationery experts,
I have in front of me 12 unused UPU postcards (see scan) in different colours with numbers in pencil on the back ranging from "9000" to "9026".
1)Can anyone give me the book reference to these numbers?
2) Do they have any value?
3) when were they issued? Mexico joined UPU in 1878.
4)Anything else of interest about them.
Thanks a lot
