Well known cinderellas not genuine, not rare, some would say forgeries but no stamps ever produced to mimic so really just creations. RRGRACE

IMO, that is obscenely far, far more than what they are worth...

Well folks,

This group of turkeys sold for $275.14 (£216.00) after some spirited bidding.

Dumbfounded,
James

Thanks guys.

It's nice to have someplace to turn to when you need information.

Best regards,

I would conclude they are either fantasies or fakes of some kind - (to me, the bottom row appears it may have been hand-drawn) - I wouldn't trust anything from "the RA Carter collection" to be genuine....

Hello:

I find some errors in these items; first, they are not from MORELIA, they were "issued" in the State of MORELOS (Capital Cuernavaca); and they look to me more as Revolutionary Provisionals (1914-1918) in 1866 they did not use the type of cancel they bear.
To me they are nothing more than cinderellas or privately produced labels; during the Revolution Zapata was the leader of the movement in that part of Mexico and perhaps they tried to imitate the Sonora coach seals of 1914 (Scott 394-413)

Fernando Perez-Maldonado

Hi Folks,

There is an interesting listing on eBay for some Morelia Provisions.  I can't find them in Scott or Follansbee and am totally clueless.  If anyone is familiar with these rascals, please clue me in.

MEXICO 1870s MORELIA LOCAL POST STAMP ALBUM PAGE: RA CARTER COLLECTION

Stumped again,

James
