Matching cancel and with close examination it has the Orizava name in the central part of the stamp. Verifited by Banchik in his examples.

PS I am just trying to see if it has any docket covers that place it either in the 1861 issues or in the 1867-8 provisionals.

What leads you to believe this 1861 medio stamp was from district Orizava. It does not have either of the 2 names.
Or am I being thick?

I am trying to determine if the Orizava cancel was used during the French intervention period or later in the Provincial period 67-8.
Anyone with a dated cover?
Thanks,
Bubba
