Maximilian and Eagle sub office information will be in 'Handbook of Classic Mexico',  2nd edition. Usage charts have been updated, and final work on For. Mail and 1874 issues is in progress.
Hope to have book out in 2-3 months.

Jesper - in response to your question regarding a good resource for Maxi subs:

You may already know this, but Spuff commented to the mailing list last year on Banchik's addenda.  I personally don't have it, but would like to have it myself - perhaps you have it and it isn't what you need?  I would like a copy, but haven't seen it anywhere (and probably haven't sought it with enough effort)

I'll just quote Spuff's entry:

Subject: Re: MEXIMAIL: Maximilian question

Mark Banchik's "Handbook on Classical Mexico" has an addendum dated 2007 listing all the information available on the Maxi subs.

If you have these addenda it is the one on blue paper (7pp.).It lists sub#s  with office names, quantities sent where known and  main invoice# on which the sub number can be found."

Jesper,

It is 54 1866, Sombrerete. You still can see part of the horizontal bar of the 4 to the right.
Manuel.

I'd like to know which sub-office received this stamp.

I can't find a good reference to the Maxi subs - do you know where I can find one?
