Bubba and I both received strange ancient emails purporting to come from me (spuff).
Do not open. Just delete. I will send my usual email on Wednesday(USA) time.
Could be the same source but Mike is not on my mailing list.

Bogus Email in Circulation to Society Members
« Reply #1 on: September 15, 2020, 08:45:09 PM »
A bogus email is being circulated to Society Members, indicating that it is from Michael Roberts.

The topic is along the lines of "Digital Mexicana".
The text of the message says that the April 2018 print copy of Mexicana is in the mail.
There is an attachment.

This email is not from Michael Roberts, or any member of the Society.

The attachment is not Mexicana but is probably a software payload for MalWare.
If you receive this email, do not open the attachment. Delete the email.

The clue to this being bogus is that the email is coming from various ISP's from outside the US. So far, one is from Mexico, the other is from South Africa.
