Jerry
Thanks for the reference. I assume that you mean Dexter Matoon and that you are referring to the article in the September 2008 Western Express. I've placed an order with APRL.

This is really a history of Wells Fargo, but gives very little catalog type info.Dexter probably has much more than H&G.

Bob,

You really should have the Western Cover Society's June 2010 edition of their publication "Western Express". The edition I am talking about covers Hidalgo Express and the Wells Fargo & Co. Express in Mexico. It is an amazing work put together by Dr. Robert Chandler, the current president of the society.  I understand you can purchase this from them or join for $35 a year and  get a copy, but you should contact them regarding this.

Their web site is www.westerncoversociety.com

Contact information for membership is

Western Cover Society

email address JandNDrew@aol.com

If you have any questions, these people would be the first to contact.

I have a small number of these and have been using the Higgins & Gage catalog of 1969 to help organize and document my collection.  Have any updates or alternative listings been done since 1969? Did MEPSI ever issue a catalog?

Also, is there a summary of the express company operations in Mexico that you could recommend?

Any help will be gratefully received.
