Code of Conduct
« Reply #1 on: June 06, 2009, 06:53:37 PM »
Since this is a public forum and since we're all supposed to enjoy using it, we have a few rules that all members are required to abide by.

  • No profanity beyond what you would hear on network television.
  • No disparaging remarks about a fellow philatelist. Only such things as media news accounts could be mentioned if there is some negative regarding a collector or dealer.
  • Keep subjects to philately, Mexico, our members and self (such as death, honors, health, etc.) and up coming events of interest.
  • No society or government political remarks. As an independent forum with members of many faiths and political persuasions, remarks about these topics have no place on a philatelic forum. Nor do we have the right or need to discuss the politics or workings of any other society or association of philately.
  • Consider yourself a gentleman or lady and act accordingly.
Basically, use your common sense and treat others as you would like them to treat you.

Please note: it is a waste of space and time to be "too polite" here. The one thing that is "too polite" is to post a reply consisting of "Thank you". We're all grateful to those who help us out by answering our questions, there's no need to add hundreds of these meaningless posts. If you do, you will only attract the displeasure of the moderators, who will have to remove this waste. Be polite - do NOT post the last "Thank you" note.
