Doug always told me. Look for the break in the top of the "oao", because all genuine examples have this. There are a few of the fakes that may exhibit this as well. If so, check the capitol "A" and the length of the overprint.
I would say your item is a fake Anotado.

February 8, 1872 date seems too early. EKU for anotado covers is March 5 with LKU mid April 1872.

Hi guys
You don't often see them this clearly stamped.
It measures 14mm
However the small "a" is not open at the top. Apart from that it seems to answer all the questions in Doug's book.

It does not conform to any of the A-L forgeries.

It is on a Mexico cover docketed 8 feb 1872 at Mexico from a known archive.

Am I missing something here?
