Where is Calera, near Coapilla?

There may have been more than one "Calera". Mark's original inquiry was about a Veracruz district office and was supported by Schimmer. Amado's notation is about a village in Zacatecas. Probably both exist.

CALERA is a railroad station of the line MEXICO-CITY to JUAREZ, CHIH. Located very near to the City of ZACATECAS, besides the station is a very small community, if you have a good map of Mexico you can locate easilly Calera.  As a matter of fact Calera means a place in which LIME is processed, the word CAL means LIME.
When the railroad line had passengers service, I recall to had pass by CALERA several times. Armando Rubio

I believe you have solved my question.  It should be Galera, not Calera and it is the same as Coapilla.  Thanks!!

Shimmer's index refers to Coapilla as also known as Galera C.

In the April 2003 Mexicana p.87 Heath shows a Type V Provisional 1867 SN with a manuscript cancel "Franco Coapilla", and accoreding to the author it is datelined Calera.  Below is the dateline, which looks like Galera, can anyone tell me where it is?  I assume it must be near Coapilla as that is the franking.  Thanks.  Marc
