Blue cancel - Correspondencia Extra??ra - What is it?
« Reply #1 on: June 28, 2011, 11:31:50 PM »
Meximailers,
I am trying to identify the Blue Cancel on the back of a letter originating in Manchester England addressed to Vera Cruz.  There is a VC receipt CDS dated July 26, 1886 but I don't recognize the blue circular mark.  The purple oval is a merchant mark.  The Blue CDS is dated 25 June 1886, the day before the VC mark and I can make out MEXICO*CORRESPONDENCIA EXTRA???RA.  Is it Extradura?  Can anyone explain it?  Thanks.
